Anecdote of the day: “During one Shakespeare production Hazel Terry, who was an alcoholic, had been smoking in her dressing-room and had set fire to her costume. As she wandered onto the stage with her train still on fire, John Gielgud observed from the wings: ‘I see Cousin Hazel is alight again.’” (John Standing quoted in Jonathan Croall, Gielgoodies!)
