Opera of the week: Viagron, a new opera by Arne Gieshoff and Frank Allison, is at the Riverside Studios in a superb production directed by Matthew Monaghan for Size Zero opera company. Based on Petronius’s Satyricon, it shows the plight of the old impotent Encolpius and his quest for an erection. Both emotionally intense and touching funny, it is a must see. If you miss it at the Riverside, you can still catch it at the Arcola.
